Seriously a very interesting fic, which can no way be called a PWP. To be honest, I hated Vergil on this fic, so I won't hide it: I'd love to see him beated up!
Anyway, be sure that if you go on with this, I'll go on reading and reviewing. Seriously, the history is great, it deserves to be developed, don't ya think?

How is this AU? Because Nevan is alive and in Dante's arms? We do not see anything about the weapons in DMC1 or DMC2 at all as Trish may have sold them all in Viewtiful Joe: another AU story and game.

Hmm... very interesting AU, though an author's note isn't the best way to do those. It would have been better to explain what was necessary to the plot in the story, or in a seperate chapter: the ritual seems a story in itself, as does Vergil's confrontation with Dante.
I'd love to read the following Vergil encounter, too.
The family theme is prevalent, and raises the idea of, if Dante will have children with three women because of the ritual, what of Sparda? This premise can be used as a scenerio for just about any of the major pairings... You really should do more with this AU. Though it's hard to see Lady agreeing to have 1/4 demon children.
Nevan was very Nevan, diabolical succubus. I liked that even though they are Vergil's possessions they still have some feeling for Dante.
Really, this does feel like a scene from a much larger work. The quality and the politics, etc, make this a great 'teaser.' However, it's good in and of itself.
