Wow, this is shaping up to be one of the best plotted stories I've read in quite a long time here, I particually like the portryal of Lawrance (I allways like the sullen loner).
Itmightn't of hurt to have split this chapter up as I did find it a tad long for a single sitting, allthough I read it that way anyway since it was so good.
Looking forward to chapter three.
Oh, and is this black moon crystal the same as the discovery found in the dark rift or something different?

... woah. I am honestly floored by your writing: everything flows to gether, not a single word wasted. Add that to the incredible scope this story is showing just in the first chapter... it's amazing. Very nice work, and eagerly awaiting more!
