I have fallen in love with story. I'm very sad to see it's not been updated in quite a while. The writing style and the characters have pulled me in from the start and I just cannot wait for more.

I love this story so much <3 it's like all my Valen fantasies wrapped up in one bundle. I'm guessing it's dead, but I just wanted to mention that it's awesome.

This is a great story, I am no fan of Neverwinter, but I stumbled across this work while looking at your other works here and I have found it to be ever more impressive. Many times when I read something with so much action, I get bored of most people's inability to write all of it in a way that won't bore the interest out of me, but you manage it and keep us going on with the "romance" happening intertwined when its appropriate and in a way that is also realistic to your character while logical in a positive sense. In short, I love your work, I hope you read this, and continue writing because as I don't know a thing about NN, but you've drawn me in and I would like to continue into this world through your imagining of it (as well as look into it a bit myself). Now that I think about it, I suppose I didn't look at the date of your last chapter posting to even know if you've written any of this lately or if this was posted some time ago, either way, I hope your out there writing as I will be looking for you lol.

I reviewed the shorters version that started over at ff, but now that I'm here I can play catchup as I can with this longer version.

I always loved the descriptions of the dark and damp of the Underdark, the effects and feel of magic, and the paradox of chaos and order in a large scale combat. Few tales even manage to describe a combat with real tension. I also thoroughly enjoy the treatment of magic, even if different than standard spells. This is how a sorcerer should feel and cast his magic. The most important part is that magic costs, requiring hard decisions and consequences. Epic characters have to have epic obstacles, and you do that here. Ceald survives because he is able to reason and solve problems when resources are scant. If magic was a free lunch, everyone would be a spellcaster.

I will say I wondered what "arance" meant, as I didn't find it at my favorite references. It is a nice start, by starting after the most tedious parts. Still thumbs up!

Mmm... long overdue, this review, but better late than never...

I won't even begin to rave about how well you interpret the game, and cover what is the essential core of it while letting the crap fall away. Your battles are suitably epic, as they should be, and your interpretation of magic hangs together so well that I could care less if it isn't quite canon.

Ceald... such a conflicted elf, but oddly endearing despite spending WAY too much time thinking! When he does let go, oh, dear gods, the elf is beyond hot. I think, though, what I found most powerful was his emotional surrender to Valen, and how very hard that was for him, so much more so than the physical surrender of his virginity. That was so profoundly real, and so very well done that I was breathless.

Valen... In all my years, it would never have occurred to me to describe the sensation of kissing a tiefling quite the way you did, but how very well that worked! Valen is almost an elemental force in the intensity of both his sexual charisma and in his... I almost don't want to say pursuit, since very little fleeing was done, but there was a predatory undercurrent that was delicious... in his pursuit of Ceald during the drow festival. Even the smallest things, like his flesh darkening with the infusion of his black blood, was phenomenal.

So, if you continue this, I'll be eager to see more... but you knew that already. :P

score = one gazillion out of ten.

Are you still alive? i hope you're still alive because this story is freakin awesome! The epic battle scenes had me glued to the monitor and the familiar scenes had me literaly squeeing. The down and dirty scenes were so good all i can say is guuuh! im melting into a happy little geek puddle here! Honestly you should write books, ill buy them. I read your profile and i totally agree with your opinions on popular yaoi, i read yaoi because i want to see the dynamics between to males, not a girl with a dick and an emotional retard going at it, even though the going at it is nice. I'm glad to see that im not the only one who thinks that way. Are you still writing this? because i swear i will give you my first born if you update, this story is that good! anywho please do not be dead and please keep the yaoi coming!

So...I realize you haven't updated in a long time, but I'm here on Fawnheart's recommendation and MAN am I glad I took a peek! (and bummed that this story appears to be abandoned). I probably would not have read it if she hadn't told me how good it is, as I am not familiar with the fandom and usually prefer het to M/M. I will be thanking her profusely! It is amazing to me that, not knowing the first thing about the game or the world that this story us based on, you can so effortlessly pull me in. I didn't feel confused or left out, just riveted, enthralled, fascinated and charmed. Your action scenes are just beyond gripping and your characters are adorable and likable. I think I'm a little in love with Ceald and Varen, both. Their blossoming attraction to each other makes me feel giddy and giggly, and holy hell when they finally give into their feelings... YUM. Intense, powerful, loving, exciting... HOT. I just really enjoyed this, and if you ever come back to it I will eagerly anticipate your updates.

The only thing that bothered me at all is that there seemed to be a definite Otherness attached to females and femininity that borders on misogyny. I am not suggesting that you yourself dislike women, please don't think that. But the focus on evil that is very explicitly attached to a specific performance of femininity and female sexuality was a little disconcerting to me.

I REALLLLLLY hope you pick this back up! Gar Ceald must hate you so much right now, haha. Let the man have his BJ!

*fans self* Whoo, boy. Aboslutely gorgeous. You tell the story with such fevour and beauty that it feels like watching the scenes rather than reading, and your ability to tie dialogue from the game into the story without making it awkward is absolutely superb. I greatly enjoy Ceald, as well as your characterizations of the various people that appear, and cannot thank you enough for breaking away from what appears to be the more common party-setups.

Also, my boyfriend is a great fan of the last couple of chapters, even though he has yet to know of this wonderful story's existence.

Greatly looking forward to the next chapters, and thank you for updating this so wonderful creation!

*weep* where's the rest! *puppy eyes* not that I can complain I too have been distracted by other stories but man, I came back after many moons of not reading this one... and it's still so good! Ceald rocks! Valen! is so valen! I want to read the whole story arc with them getting through more trials and battles... and the sex... the oh so necessary sex...

*sigh*

seriously. You're still amazing. Whatever it is you're currently working on, I hope you come back and write more ceald chapters someday :-)
