I don't often enjoy Fanfics like this, most being just an excuse to excersise the writers own personal fanticies and usualy are highly unimaginative. This work, however, captures not only an exteramly spontanious relationship in a realistic light, but displays and plays on the individual emotions of the charactors, producing a far more emercing story.

For starters the actual writing is of a far higher quality then normaly seen in fanfiction of this kind, the level of discription demonstrating that the wrighters wanted to draw the reader into the room, while still leaving out just enough to alow the imagination of the idividual to make its own assumptions, giving the reader a far more personal perspective, especialy during the fore-play. Each charactor seemed to stick to their personalities at the begining of the story, giving a good solid foundation from which the authers can build upon, although it is a streach for the authers to forget that not all fan's will be deap enough to see the underlying emotional positions that the charactors posess. None the less, the creative writing quickly builds an intreeguing and plausable relationship over a matter of hours, a picture of the two already firmly imprinted in the mind of the reader by the time we reach the sex scene. At this point, however, the reader is shaken back to reality as we realise that what we are dealing with is not a couple in an advanced relationship, something which may have been forgoten with the deaph of understanding that has devoloped between the two over the cource of the last chapter. We know that this is Amy's 'first time', yet it has slipped the mind untill that moment when she herself dictates it to the reader, spelling it out so clearly that it scears the reader as much as it scears her 'partner'. Even more so, at this point the story reflects the reders own deziers or experances, everone remembers their first time. If they look back upon it, they surly realise that the experance, though hopefuly a 'happy' one, was infact terrorfying to begin with. If we still look forward to the event, the story brings into question the reader's very dezires, are they truly right?

When looking at the intomacy scene, I see something more then just 'erotica', such a word dosn't give the scene justice. It displays something of a personal touch, rather then just being a replication of older stories the auther may have read and slapped together haphazardly. Each and every discriptive sentence was thought out, planned in the writers mind from the readers perspective, only adding more discription at the points which truly matter to the overall picture. Finaly, the last paragraph, with that one line in that truly clenches the momentusness in the lives of the two:

"All she knew now was that what she had once called love was now nothing more than a childish infatuation, washed away by passion and real love as she had passed into adulthood."

The realisation of fanticy from reality strikes the herowin in this moment, not during, but critticaly after the intamecy scene. This is not something a whimsicle or male writer could have come up with, showing the true femininaty and deaph of the auters' passion for the detail which they bistoe to the onlooker. They alow the reader a way now alowing us to see inside the mind of the two, rather then simply watching from the outside, a part of the story, no longer a simple inocent bystander.

I have very few negative coments to put forward about this peace. For starters, like any fanfic it is influenced by my own perseptions on the game charactors, as it would any reader. In this way, it falls down by luring the reader into a sort of trap, placing two well loved charactors who we belive we know, into an uncomfortuble situation that distorts our veiw of those charactors in an ireprable way. Yet maybe that isn't such a bad thing, pulling the reader out of the rut of fanticy that they are kept in by the game designers? The only other anomily which I came across was the suprising speed that the relationship develops. Though it was written realisticly, it lacks that emotional build that is so often missing in many Fanfic's such as this. Never the less, there is chance for redemption in the following chaptors, all of which I look forward to reading.

I would recomend this to anyone who values engaging writing, the deaph of the description providing sumptueus reading for the more intulectualy provoked and the adverage Sadow/Amy 'fanfic' reader. However, I feel that more 'hard core' fans of this realationship may find it too radicaly difrent from that which they are used to, posibly disterbingly so. Thus, while not discuraging anyone from reading this story, I encurage you to look upon it with new eyes, untainted by the perseptions we have developed from the games or other fanfics you may have read. Take it with a pinch of salt and I think anyone will find this story to be most endulging and leave them eagure to see the for-comming chapters.

Nice surprise, I loved reading this all the way through :)

Somehow I can't help but think it could be revised somehow, but that's probably just me talking out of my ass; it's an excellent story nonetheless, it's a nice change from all the standard "OMG SHADOW HAS FALLEN OUT OF THE SKY LETS HAEV SECKS LOL" storyline, and it really lets loose a bit of insight into both Amy and Shadow's minds as it unfolds... My personal favorite part was when Shadow ran Amy to her house, I don't know why though... Once again, maybe me talking out the wrong hole. Something else I notice, you two really have a nack (sp?) for knowing exactly how the "real" Shadow and Amy would react to each other in that situation...
