I like the prologue - it's really got me interested in what happens next. There was only one thing that jarred me: At one point you use the word "statuesque", which means "tall", to describe Riku, and by context I'm guessing that you're referring to his paralysis and not his height. Other than that, I'm looking forward to seeing more of this one.
