When I first saw this fic pop up, and saw the good comments for it, I was have to say I was interested. It wasn't until recently that I found the time to actually sit down with it, and I have to say, it was a great disappointment. The writing could use some polish, not necessarily grammatically, but...just in terms of common sense. Arthur just *walks* out of a military base when the soldiers' backs are turned? And as for character, though some of the original characters (the Shet bros) are genuinely interesting despite unfortunate name choice, the rest are OOC to the point of I'm wondering if you've even played the games. Big Boss and Ocelot are just so...shallow in this fic, fussing over medals and fighting through petty love triangles. Not to mention Ocelot doesn't miss--and even if he did, he certainly wouldn't pass it off with, "My aim must be off." His aim is his life.
Arthur, to me, seems like a complete Stu--no, he's really more of Sue, actually. It's one thing to be good at what you do and catch the eye of a canon character, but he's good at EVERYTHING and even Ocelot, who betrayed and killed his own best friend, demands that he love him? And what's with the "being married is different than liking women"? This "You rape women for pleasure? Ew--no offense, of course, 'cause I wouldn't want to judge you for raping women" ? Slash fan or not I think your views on females need to be readjusted.
Overall...I'm sorry I can't give you any constructive criticism, but I honestly don't think there's much you can do to help it, and you've already written so much so it's a little late for that anyway. But for you next fic, I suggest not using Wikipedia for your research, and...maybe playing the games a few more times.
