I had thought this story was abandonned and can't say how pleased I am that it hasn't been. Definitely one of the best Street Fighter stories I've read. You manage to focus on characterization and explore relationships without making it ridiculously out of character or hammy. I thought you nailed Chun Li's personality when she was willing to resort to "something cheap" to win the fight. It shows her desperation and that she's a bit of a different fighter from Ryu. Whether or not this story is Chun/Akuma, Chun/Ryu, or both/none, or whatever, it's all good. (It's Chun Li after all). Hope you stay on your Street Fighter kick long enough for another chapter.

I really like your writing style, especially how you described Akuma's power. I see some great potential with this story. Can't wait to see more.
