I get that this story was suppose to be 'dramatic' and have a bitter-sweet/sad ending, but it just seemed very forced, if not pointless. I'm referring to the fact that Link waited THAT LONG to actually attempt to aid Dark Link/stop Ganondorf from hurting him: yes, yes, I get that he was supposed to be 'frozen in shock and horror', but it all just seemed entirely too convenient to the plot, so we would be treated to unnecessary and cruel drama that leads to 'sad ending'.
If anything, it just made Link come off as incredibly stupid for not attempting to at least STOP Ganon the moment he realized he was going to seriously hurt Dark Link. A complete damper to an otherwise well written story.

Completely NOT what I was expecting!!!
This short story was amazing! Your grammar and your language are both superb. The relationship you built between Link and Dark Link was truly amazing and I seriously -hated- Ganondorf during his torture. I was sitting here mentally screaming at Link to DO SOMETHING. The final scenes were absolutely heartwrenching but the ending really gives the reader closure. I am thrilled to have found this sweet, sad fiction; thank you for writing it!
Two points of interest:
1. "the place of ultimate pain." XD That phrase made me laugh.
2. This isn't a critique but rather a thought. The concept of a Heaven may be common to many races of people and certainly probably to Hylians as well, but I found it interesting that you had Link carve a cross on Dark Link's grave marker. Being a Hylian, it stands to reason that he would carve a triforce into the marker instead, as the three Golden Goddesses are their deities. But I have nothing against inserting Christian ideas into fanfiction. It's actually a good reflection on the background of the author, I suppose.

Huh. The only thing missing was Dark Link gasping out, with his last breath, "Link...I'm...I'm...pregnant!"

T_________T That was soooooooooooooooooo sad....*sniff sniff* It made me cried so hard!!! I loved it!! It was beautiful.....I hope you write more stories like this one. Bravo!
